Junafilm
Im Herzen von Hamburg-Ottensen entwickelt Junafilm mit Filmemacher*innen aus der ganzen Welt leidenschaftlich Stoffe für das Kino und Fernsehen.
Mit dem ersten Spielfilm „Tore tanzt“ von Katrin Gebbe war Junafilm in Cannes 2013 (Un Certain Regard) vertreten. Der Film gewann national und international mehr als 20 Preise und war weltweit auf über 100 Festivals erfolgreich.
Zudem realisiert Junafilm internationale Koproduktionen mit Talenten wie Ask Hasselbach (Antboy – Die Rache der Red Fury/Berlinale 2015), Asá Hjörnleifsdottir (The Swan/Berlinale Talent Campus/Kairo international Filmfest „Best Film“) und Katrin Gebbe (Pelikanblut/Venedig 2019/TIFF 2019/Filmfest Hamburg „Produzentenpreis“).
Junafilm ist Teil der Initiative „Hamburg lebt Kino“, bei der sich unabhängige Produktionsfirmen zusammen geschlossen haben, um den Standort Hamburg zu stärken, dem Nachwuchs eine Stimme zu geben und die gesamte Filmbranche stärker miteinander zu vernetzen.
Junafilm
Based in the heart of Hamburg-Ottensen, Junafilm, together with filmmakers from all over the world, passionately develops material for cinema and television.
With their first feature, “Nothing Bad Can Happen”, by Katrin Gebbe, Junafilm was presented in Cannes, 2013 (Un Certain Regard). The film won more than 20 national and international awards and was successfully received in more than 100 festivals.
Furthermore, Junafilm has realised international co-productions with talents such as Ask Hasselbach (Antboy – Revenge of the Red Fury/Berlinale 2015), Asá Hjörnleifsdottir (The Swan/Berlinale Talent Campus/Cairo International Film Festival “Best Film”) and Katrin Gebbe (Pelican Blood/Venice 2019/TIFF 2019/Filmfestival Hamburg “Producer Award”).
Junafilm, is part of the initiative,“Hamburg loves Cinema”, in which independent production companies from Hamburg have united to strengthen Hamburg as a filmmaking location, to give a voice to young talent and to provide a networking platform for film.
